AI DISCLAIMER
How AI is used in my music
In summary: all inputs are generated by me — the lyrics, band names, band history, member names, and their history. Exceptions are clearly disclosed.
For the outputs — the music itself including instrumental and vocals — I used an AI model (Suno.com). Each song can take from days to months to be finalized, and many versions are produced, edited and altered along the way to guarantee the final quality. Sometimes several prompts are needed to reach the ideal initial version of a song.
Images of album covers, band members, gallery, and website features, are also generated with AI models, using OpenArt.ai.
I've decided that each band releases no more than one album per year. AI music can be produced much faster than traditional music, and flooding the world with 5-6 low quality albums every year per band would be unfair to musicians. It also dilutes quality and doesn't give people time to enjoy and familiarize themselves with the songs.
All lyrics were fully written by me, with the following exceptions:
- Re:0ne — I'm not as fluent in Japanese as I would like, despite two years of study, so it took several iterations working with LLMs to translate my ideas into Japanese. The LLMs were used to refine and improve the lyrics while keeping their sonority.
- Review of English lyrics, after they were written, were done by an LLM since English is not my native language.
I consider all songs to be a human-AI collaboration, and I don't consider myself a musician. This method allows me to create music without being one. Even with AI assistance, this musical work is deeply personal and I see each band created as a different persona crafted by my lived experience and feelings.
I support fair compensation for musicians whose work trains AI models. I try to make my music as distinct as possible from existing songs and artists, since my goal is to create new works, not copies of existing ones. My goal is not to flood the world with slop but to create meaningful projects that can resonate with other people.
