No Kitsunes in the Kitchen
Acid jazz rock with a soul voice in front. Songs about work, money and promises nobody kept, told through things that should not be where they are.
Biography
No Kitsunes in the Kitchen is an acid jazz rock band fronted by Nina Tsukumo, a soul singer whose surname comes from the tsukumogami, the household objects that turn into yokai after a hundred years. Slap bass up front, wah guitar, electric piano and organ, and strings when a chorus needs to climb. The lyrics deal with work, money and promises that were never kept, always through something concrete and slightly absurd. ...But There's a Yurei in the Yard, the first album, is still being recorded.
